How is our CBD oil manufactured?

Our Colorado Cures tinctures are made of the highest quality ingredients. Our CBD isolate is extracted in the state of Colorado. From there it is combined with MCT coconut oil and natural flavorings. We isolate our CBD through a CO2 extraction process which is both clean and efficient at isolating the maximum amount of CBD per batch allowing us to pass the savings on to you.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Both medical marijuana and industrial hemp are known as the plant species cannabis sativa. The one factor that differs is the amount of THC, the psychoactive cannabinoid present within the plant. The 2018 farm bill defines any cannabis sativa plant with less than .3% THC to be classified as industrial hemp. Anything with more than .3% is defined as marijuana.

While some states have laws restricting CBD sales, CBD is not illegal. The 2018 farm bill also outlines rules for hemp derived products, such as CBD isolate, and tinctures. It was found that since hemp is no longer classified alongside marijuana on the DEA's list of dangerous drugs it is completely legal to own, use, and transport.

How should I store my CBD?

CBD and products containing CBD should be stored in a cool, dark place. This is because over time both heat and light can degrade CBD.

What is the shelf life of CBD?

Isolated CBD will have a shelf life of 2 years. This of course can vary based upon a number of variables. Things like light exposure or exposure to heat will cause this shelf life to shorten. In some cases, like with brownies the shelf life may be significantly shorter due to the ingredients other than CBD contained within that type of product.

Will I fail a drug test if I use CBD?

We offer products which contain a wide range of cannabinoids. We offer full spectrum products, which contain up to 113 cannabinoids including up to .3% THC per serving. We also offer broad spectrum products which can contain up to 109 cannabinoids. Even though broad spectrum products do not contain any THC there is a possibility of a positive drug test result with these products. Anyone with drug testing concerns should consider using products only containing CBD. We refer to these products as Isolate.

What is the best method of use?

Will I get high from using CBD?

What is Delta-9 THC, and how is it different from marijuana-derived THC?

Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive cannabinoid found in both hemp and marijuana plants. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived products like our Delta-9 gummies come from hemp containing 0.3% or less Delta-9 THC by dry weight, the same federal threshold used to classify hemp. Marijuana-derived THC products come from cannabis plants that exceed that threshold and fall under separate state marijuana regulations.

What's the difference between Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC?

Delta-8 and Delta-9 are both naturally occurring cannabinoids with similar chemical structures, though Delta-9 is generally considered more potent. Both can be derived from hemp under the same 0.3% THC threshold. Effects and legal treatment can vary by product and by state, so if you're new to either, start low and go slow, and check the Certificate of Analysis for the specific product you're considering.

THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the raw, non-intoxicating precursor to THC found in the hemp plant. It converts to Delta-9 THC when heated, a process called decarboxylation, such as when it's smoked or vaporized. Because of this, THCA products are subject to ongoing regulatory discussion, and their legal status can differ significantly by state.

HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) is a hydrogenated form of THC, similar to how vegetable oil is hydrogenated into margarine. It occurs naturally in trace amounts in hemp and can also be produced from CBD. Like other hemp-derived cannabinoids, its legal status varies by state.

CBG (cannabigerol) is often called the mother cannabinoid because other cannabinoids, including CBD and THC, are derived from it as the hemp plant matures. It's non-intoxicating and typically found in smaller concentrations than CBD.

CBN (cannabinol) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid that forms naturally as THC ages and breaks down over time. Many customers look for CBN specifically for evening routines, though we don't make medical claims; check with a healthcare provider about what's right for you.

What's the difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum, and CBD isolate?

Full spectrum products contain the widest range of naturally occurring cannabinoids, up to 113, including up to 0.3% THC per serving. Broad spectrum products are processed to remove THC while keeping most other cannabinoids (up to 109). CBD isolate contains only pure CBD, with no other cannabinoids or THC. If you're subject to drug testing, isolate is the lowest-risk option.

Are hemp-derived THC products like Delta-9 gummies legal in my state?

I am so glad coloradocures has been around! For my family my 91 year old grandma loves this stuff to help with her pain on her back and knees she suffers from a lot of joint pain and this is one of the few things that helps. My mom also uses this too to help with her osteoarthritis and other joint pains. Myself I would recommend to anyone that is suffering from any inflammation of the joints or back pain, to get this ! I have been suffering from SLE Lupus with many active factors and this definitely helps !! Thank yall Colorado cures for helping me and my family

Soothing and smooth to rub on achy muscles/arthritis discomfort. Heats up to relieve pain. Lasts for 3-4 hours at a time. Best relief my husband has found for his chronically painful knees. He cant take anti-inflamatory (Advil, Motrin) because of heart problems. It is a game changer!

My mother has bought on bone arthritis on her knees. We put this hot cream on there and she can walk for two or three hours if not four before we have to reapply. We used to use Aspercreme but it does nothing for her. This is amazing. I feel so glad that you sell it! If you know anyone that has arthritis, it will truly help. It is safe.

I don’t understand how it works, but it is amazing. I have nerve damage that causes constant tingling. When I put this cream on, within 15 minutes, the tingling has eased up and relaxes my leg. It allows me to be able to sleep at night. I cannot say enough about this extraordinary cream. It works for me!!! Thank you for having this product.

For context, I have a couple years of working in the CBD industry. This cream is some of the best out there. The "hot" is very, very subtle so, if you're sensitive, this cream would be a good bet for you. I, personally, would love a bit more "burn" to it because sometimes I question if it's working or not. It certainly is though! I use this for my carpal tunnel/arthritis combo, and inflamed knees every now and again, and I'd say it starts really kicking in after about 5-10 minutes. It's a great relief after a long day of work/gardening, and has really helped improve my quality of life. I LOVE this stuff.
