Concentrates — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our THCA diamonds, Delta-8 blends, and CBD isolate concentrates.

What are THCA diamonds?

THCA diamonds are a highly concentrated, crystallized form of THCA — the non-intoxicating precursor to Delta-9-THC found in raw hemp. When heated (dabbed or vaporized), THCA converts to Delta-9-THC. Our diamonds are lab-tested and formulated to keep the product within the federally allowed 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight prior to heating.

How do I consume a concentrate?

Concentrates like diamonds are most commonly used with a dab rig or a vaporizer designed for concentrates; some people also add a small amount to hemp flower. If you're new to concentrates, they're significantly more potent by volume than flower, so starting with a very small amount is important.

What's the difference between CBD isolate concentrate and THCA diamonds?

CBD isolate concentrate is a purified, crystallized form of CBD with no THC and no intoxicating effect. THCA diamonds convert to Delta-9-THC when heated and produce an intoxicating effect. They serve very different purposes, so it's worth double-checking the product listing before you buy.

Are concentrates more potent than flower or tinctures?

Yes — concentrates are, by design, a much more concentrated form of cannabinoids than flower or tinctures, and a little goes a long way. If you're new to concentrates, we'd recommend starting with a much smaller amount than you might use of flower and waiting to gauge the effect before using more.

How do you verify potency and purity for concentrates?

Every concentrate we sell is tested by an independent, accredited lab for cannabinoid potency and screened for contaminants. Batch-specific Certificates of Analysis are posted on our Lab Results page.

Is there an age requirement, and is this legal in my state?

You must be 21 or older to purchase concentrates from Colorado Cures. Laws around high-potency hemp concentrates vary by state and are changing frequently, so please confirm your local and state laws before ordering.

How should concentrates be stored?

Store concentrates in their original, airtight container, away from heat, light, and humidity, and out of reach of children and pets. Improper storage can cause diamonds to degrade in purity and consistency over time.
