We highly reccommend using hot creams to start your day! A hot cream is perfect to use before a workout, activity, or just as you wake up. With all natural ingredients like Capsaicin and Eucalyptus,a hot cream will provide a comforting warming effect.  

 

A cold cream is perfect for your post-workout cool down, or just a relaxing way to end your day. We use ingredients like Spearmint and Menthol to provide a soothing cooling effect targeting where applied.

What's the difference between Hot Cream and Cold Cream?

The difference is the sensation, not the strength. Hot Cream is formulated with warming ingredients like capsaicin and eucalyptus, which many customers reach for before activity or first thing in the morning. Cold Cream uses cooling ingredients like spearmint and menthol, which some people prefer after activity or as part of a wind-down routine. Both come in a range of potencies from 250mg to 5000mg.

How do I use a CBD topical?

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage it in fully. Because everyone's skin and sensitivity is different, we recommend applying a small amount first to see how your skin responds before applying more broadly, and washing your hands after application unless you're treating your hands.

Can topicals be used alongside tinctures or edibles?

Yes — topicals are applied to the skin and work locally, so many customers use them together with a tincture, gummy, or other ingestible product. If you're combining products, it's worth being mindful of your total daily intake, and checking with your doctor if you're new to combining hemp products or are on medication.

Will a CBD topical make me feel different or show up on a drug test?

Topicals are absorbed through the skin and are not designed to produce a noticeable psychoactive effect the way an ingested product might. Because absorption through skin is limited, topicals are generally considered a lower risk for a positive THC drug test than ingested full-spectrum products, but we can't guarantee results for any individual test.

How much CBD is in each topical, and how do I choose a strength?

Our topicals range from 250mg up to 5000mg per container. If you're new to topicals, starting with a lower-potency option and increasing over time (if desired) is a common approach — the product page for each item lists its exact mg content and container size so you can compare price-per-mg.

Are your topicals tested for purity?

Yes. Like all Colorado Cures products, our topicals are tested by an independent lab, and batch-specific Certificates of Analysis are available on our Lab Results page.

Is there anything I should watch for before using a new topical?

As with any new skincare or topical product, we recommend a patch test on a small area of skin first and discontinuing use if you notice irritation. Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin, and keep topicals out of reach of children and pets.
