What is CBD cream?
CBD cream is a topical product that blends hemp-derived CBD into a cream you apply to the skin. Colorado Cures CBD creams come in warming Hot Cream and cooling Cold Cream formulas, from 250mg to 5000mg of CBD per container, and every batch is third-party lab tested.
What's the difference between CBD cream and CBD lotion?
The main difference is texture. Lotions are thinner and absorb quickly, creams are thicker, and salves are the richest, with a coconut oil base. Colorado Cures offers Hot and Cold CBD creams in several sizes and a roll-on format, plus unscented CBD coconut salves.
Hot vs. Cold CBD cream: which should I choose?
Choose Hot Cream for a warming sensation and Cold Cream for a cooling sensation — the difference is the sensation, not the strength. Hot Cream is formulated with warming ingredients like capsaicin and eucalyptus, which many customers reach for before activity or first thing in the morning. Cold Cream uses cooling ingredients like spearmint and menthol, which some people prefer after activity or as part of a wind-down routine. Hot Cream comes in 250mg to 5000mg, and Cold Cream in 250mg to 3000mg.
What's the difference between full spectrum and isolate CBD cream?
Full spectrum CBD cream contains CBD along with other naturally occurring hemp compounds, including trace amounts of THC (no more than 0.3% by dry weight). Isolate CBD cream contains CBD only, with no detectable THC. Each product page lists which type it is.
How do I use CBD cream or lotion?
Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage it in fully. Because everyone's skin and sensitivity is different, we recommend applying a small amount first to see how your skin responds before applying more broadly, and washing your hands after application unless you're applying it to your hands.
Will CBD cream get me high or show up on a drug test?
No — CBD cream is applied to the skin, not ingested, and is not designed to produce a psychoactive effect the way an ingested product might. Because absorption through skin is limited, topicals are generally considered a lower risk for a positive THC drug test than ingested full-spectrum products, but we can't guarantee results for any individual test. If drug testing is a concern, choose an isolate CBD cream, which contains no detectable THC.
How much CBD is in each CBD cream, and how do I choose a strength?
Our CBD creams and salves range from 250mg up to 5000mg per container. If you're new to topicals, starting with a lower-potency option and increasing over time (if desired) is a common approach — the product page for each item lists its exact mg content and container size so you can compare price-per-mg.
Are your CBD creams and lotions lab tested?

Can CBD cream be used alongside tinctures or edibles?
Yes — CBD cream is applied to the skin rather than ingested, so many customers use it together with a tincture, gummy, or other ingestible product. If you're combining products, it's worth being mindful of your total daily intake, and checking with your doctor if you're new to combining hemp products or are on medication.
Is there anything I should watch for before using a new CBD cream?
As with any new skincare or topical product, we recommend a patch test on a small area of skin first and discontinuing use if you notice irritation. Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin, and keep topicals out of reach of children and pets.
