What's the difference between isolate, broad-spectrum, and full-spectrum tinctures?

Isolate contains a single cannabinoid (CBD) with no other hemp compounds. Broad-spectrum includes multiple hemp-derived cannabinoids and terpenes with the THC removed. Full-spectrum keeps the fullest range of naturally occurring hemp compounds, including up to the federally allowed 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. Which one is right for you comes down to personal preference and whether you want to avoid THC entirely — it's worth reading each product's Certificate of Analysis (COA) before choosing.

How much CBD should I start with?

There's no single right dose — the right amount depends on the person, and we're not able to recommend a specific amount for a specific outcome. A common approach people use with any new hemp product is to start with a smaller serving, wait a few hours to see how you feel, and adjust gradually from there. If you're taking any medication or managing a health condition, talk with your doctor before starting, since cannabinoids can interact with certain medications.

How do I use a CBD tincture?

Most people use tinctures sublingually: place the desired amount under your tongue with the dropper and hold it there for 30–60 seconds before swallowing, which allows some absorption through the tissue in your mouth. You can also add a tincture to food or a beverage, though absorption may be slower that way.

Will Colorado Cures tinctures show up on a drug test?

Our full-spectrum tinctures contain trace amounts of Delta-9 THC (up to the legal 0.3% limit), and trace THC can accumulate with regular use — so a full-spectrum product carries some risk of showing up on a THC drug test. Our isolate tinctures are formulated to contain no detectable THC. If drug testing is a concern for you, review the product's COA and consider an isolate product, and note that no hemp product can be guaranteed 100% THC-free due to trace-level manufacturing variability.

Are your tinctures third-party lab tested?

What ingredients are in Colorado Cures tinctures?

Our tinctures are kept simple: hemp extract, MCT coconut oil as the carrier, and natural flavoring where applicable. Our hemp is grown on our own farm in Trinidad, Colorado. Check the specific product page for the full ingredient list of the flavor and potency you're considering.

How should I store my tincture, and how long does it last?

Store your tincture in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat, and keep the cap tightened between uses to limit air exposure. Stored properly, an unopened tincture is generally good for around a year or per the best-by date on the bottle; check the label for product-specific guidance.
