Picnic Perfect: Outdoor Snack Ideas

Ready to make your next outdoor adventure even more delicious? I’ve got some tasty recipes that are perfect for enjoying the great outdoors. Plus, we’re going to give them a little boost by incorporating some of our Colorado Cures tinctures.
1. Tropical Fruit Salad with a Twist
This refreshing fruit salad is the perfect mix of sweet and tangy, and it’s super easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 cup mango cubes
- 1 cup kiwi slices
- 1 cup strawberries, halved
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- Juice of 1 lime
- A few drops of Colorado Cures Tropical Tincture (adjust based on your preference and dosage)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine all the chopped fruits.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the fruit and toss gently to mix.
- Add a few drops of Colorado Cures Tropical Tincture and toss again to combine.
- Chill the fruit salad in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Pack it in a container and enjoy this tropical treat at your picnic!
2. Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer
What’s better than a cold drink on a warm day? This Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer is both refreshing and delightful.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
- 2 cups sparkling water
- 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes
- A few drops of Colorado Cures Strawberry Lemonade Tincture
Instructions:
- In a blender, puree the strawberries until smooth.
- Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove seeds.
- Add the lemon juice and sparkling water to the pitcher and stir well.
- Sweeten with honey or agave syrup if desired.
- Stir in a few drops of Colorado Cures Strawberry Lemonade Tincture.
- Serve over ice and enjoy this bubbly, fruity drink at your picnic!
3. Peppermint Chocolate Energy Bites
These little bites of joy are perfect for snacking during your picnic. They’re packed with flavor and energy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup natural almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- A few drops of Colorado Cures Peppermint Tincture
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond butter, honey, and cocoa powder. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Add a few drops of Colorado Cures Peppermint Tincture and mix again.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the energy bites for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Pack them in a container for a delicious, minty snack during your picnic!
